The barn

The barn is split into three areas:

  • The top section is a large open space with six large trestle tables and thirty chairs which can be used on request. There is also a large projector and screen.

  • The middle section is a full working kitchen with an electric oven and industrial dishwasher.

  • The lower section of the barn is, again, a very flexible space with moveable worktops, prep tables, and a large sink.

There are large double doors at the end of the barn which can be opened to the outdoor area. This part of the barn is lovely for photography with beautiful natural light and a variety of natural surfaces. We have had a number of food photography shoots here and, with our trips to local flea markets, we are accumulating a collection of natural styling props. This lower section lends itself to demonstrations and more practical messy workshops. There is also a firepit that can be set up on request so you can enjoy the outdoors and incredible views.

There are heaters throughout the barn and toilet facilities on site, together with ample parking. There are lovely walks in the area, including a three-kilometre loop from the barn, around the farm, across the fields and stream.

The space has been used to host activities such as floral workshops, nutrition and wellness seminars, workaway days and cookery courses. It also makes a cosy and rustic space for supper clubs and foodie events.

We can also help you with catering for your event, whether that be a selection of delicious cakes, a light lunch or something more. Please get in touch to find out about catering options.

The cow barn

Adjacent to the barn is the cow barn, which has 2 ensuite bedrooms with king-sized beds with shared tea and coffee facilities. The rooms look out onto the flower garden and the Chew Valley.

The rooms are available to book on request.
