Our story

We moved to the farm 12 years ago. The farm had been sitting in the Chew Valley for 60 years and, having not been touched, everything had gone truly wild…

Over the years, we set about preserving this very special place, with sustainability and nature at the heart of what we do. We have 150 acres of wildflower organic meadows and we gently graze them in the summer months with cattle. You will often see our flock of sheep nibbling the grass in the orchard.

In the orchard, we have different varieties of organic apple trees and, in the autumn, are busy pressing our apples to make apple juice and cider. We also have a herb and flower garden, which has spectacular dahlias. (Dahlias are a bit of a passion for me and every year I love discovering new varieties.)

Our farm is organic and we strive to follow regenerative farming practices to encourage biodiversity, prioritise soil health and sequester carbon. The farm runs on electricity which is powered by our field of solar panels.

We have a number of barns at the farm, which we have sympathetically preserved to create wonderful versatile spaces for people to utilise and enjoy. The barn is a very special place (and is where I wrote and shot my cookbook - The Great British Farmhouse Cookbook).

We are located in the middle of a triangle of Bath, Bristol and Wells in the Chew Valley, with stunning views over Chew Valley Lake. We think this place is pretty special so we would love you to come visit!
